VSP Vision and AOA Collaborate on Doctor Contracting Commitment

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. and ST. LOUIS–VSP Vision and the American Optometric Association (AOA) announced that they have collaborated on a doctor contracting commitment. Noting “a shared focus on continued support and partnership with doctors of optometry,” the announcement indicated that the agreement builds upon VSP’s doctor contracting practices with improved processes that include easier-to-compare contract amendments, minimum notification periods for amendments, and a streamlined process for doctor questions. “We’re proud to partner with the AOA on a matter we know is important to the profession,” said Matt Wickham, OD, VSP Vision board chair. “While VSP already meets many of the conditions of the contracting commitment, we are always looking for ways to further strengthen the process.”
