PARIS—EssilorLuxottica has announced the creation of a Scientific Advisory Committee, bringing together scientists and thought leaders from converging fields of science, technology and health care to provide strategic guidance and forward-looking insights, the company advised. Acting as a catalyst for transformative thinking, the advisory committee will collaborate with a global network of leading scientific institutions and advise on new frontiers in the group’s core areas of research, including ophthalmology and oculomics, physics and optics, audiology, AI and ethics. This initiative “will reinforce the group’s enduring scientific foundation and its mission to empower patients and consumers around the world,” the announcement stated.
