AOA, AOSA to Reimagine 2026 Optometry’s Meeting Annual Student Competition as the AOA EyeQ Championship

ST. LOUIS—The American Optometric Association (AOA) and the American Optometric Student Association (AOSA) announced plans to reimagine the long-running Student Bowl—a beloved, high-energy tradition where students from across the country battle it out in a spirited, quiz-style showdown—as the AOA EyeQ Championship. The competition will be presented by AOAExcel at the upcoming 2026 Optometry’s Meeting which is set to take place June 17-20 in Phoenix, Ariz. at the Phoenix Convention Center. Combined with the third AOA+ experience, the organizations said the reimagined event will take place on Thursday, June 18, where AOA+ attendees are invited to celebrate the evolution of a tradition and the bright future of optometry.
