Zeiss Celebrates 100 Years of U.S. Operation and Innovative Technologies

OBERKOCHEN, Germany and WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.—Zeiss has announced the celebration of 100 years of operation in the U.S. Marking the occasion yesterday, the company recognized the milestone as “helping Americans improve lives and reach profound achievements by applying the company’s innovative technologies to research, health care, manufacturing and more.” In making the announcement, Zeiss recalled its U.S. origins as a single branch with 39 employees in New York City, to its growth into a multi-business organization with more than 3,500 colleagues in over 30 locations across the country. Over the course of this trajectory, the company noted, Zeiss has partnered with industry leaders from assembly lines to research labs, “inspiring innovation across multiple industries and contributing to major milestones in America.”
