World Council of Optometry and Alcon Expand Partnership to Promote Dry Eye Disease Education

ST. LOUIS—The World Council of Optometry (WCO) and Alcon announced that they have renewed their education initiative to advance dry eye disease professional education on a global basis. Since its launch in 2022, the partnership's wide-ranging initiatives have focused on the mitigation, measurement, and management of dry eye disease. A chronic, painful condition, dry eye disease impacts 1.6 billion people worldwide and its rising occurrence is linked to increased technology use, environmental triggers, and an aging population.
