JENA, Germany—Carl Zeiss Meditec has announced its first-quarter fiscal 2025/26 financial results, reporting revenue of €467 million for the first quarter, down 4.8 percent year-over-year, as compared with €490.5 million for the same period the prior year. EBITA amounted to €8.1 million, compared with €35.2 million the prior year, with the EBITA margin coming in at 1.7 percent vs 7.2 percent the prior year. The company attributed the decline to key challenges, citing an unfavorable product mix, currency headwinds and difficulties in both the U.S. and Chinese markets.
