Prevent Blindness Kicks Off Third Annual Retinopathy of Prematurity Awareness Week

CHICAGO—Prevent Blindness, a nonprofit eye health organization, has declared February 23 to March 1, 2026, as its third annual Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) Awareness Week. The organization stated in the announcement that this week is part of the comprehensive national “Prevent Blindness ROP Education and Support” initiative that provides information on the condition and the unique eyecare needs of children with ROP and support for families of children with ROP. The ROP Education and Support Initiative and ROP Awareness Week are supported by funding from Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
