The Vision Council Urges Its Members to Prepare as DOJ, Customs and Border Protection Propose IEEPA Refund System
Published on March 10, 2026
ALEXANDRIA, Va.—The Vision Council is urging members to prepare now for a possible systemwide processing of refunds on tariffs collected under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) after the Department of Justice (DOJ), on behalf of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CPB), filed a proposal on March 6 outlining how duties collected under the now voided IEEPA tariffs could be returned to importers. This update is part of an ongoing series of challenges following the February 20 SCOTUS ruling that the President does not have the power to impose tariffs under IEEPA, as reported by VMAIL.
