Aurion Biotech Appoints Marjan Farid, MD, as Medical Advisory Board Chair

SEATTLE, CAMBRIDGE, Mass., and TOKYO—Aurion Biotech, Inc., a commercial-stage regenerative cell therapy company that Alcon acquired a majority interest of in March 2025, as reported by VMAIL, has announced the appointment of Marjan Farid, MD, as the chair of its medical advisory board. Dr. Farid is a distinguished cornea, cataract and refractive surgeon, a global educator and researcher, and chair of the cornea clinical committee of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), the company said in the announcement.
