Olympus to Sell Retina Business of EyeSouth Partners to Cencora for $1.1 Billion

STAMFORD, Conn. and CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa.—Olympus Partners, a private equity firm focused on providing equity capital for middle market management buyouts, has agreed to sell the retina business of EyeSouth Partners for $1.1 billion to Cencora, Inc., a leading global pharmaceutical solutions organization, the companies advised yesterday in separate announcements. Upon completion of the transaction, the affiliated retina physicians of EyeSouth Partners will join Cencora’s Retina Consultants of America. EyeSouth Partners, founded in 2017, is an eyecare-focused management services organization that joins with leading ophthalmologists and medical optometrists to deliver medical and surgical specialty eyecare. Following the transaction, Olympus Partners will retain ownership of the anterior segment of the business, according to the company’s announcement.
