SUNY Optometry Faculty Showcase Research Excellence During Expo Event for NY State Leaders

ALBANY, N.Y.—Faculty from the SUNY College of Optometry joined researchers and peers this month from nearly a dozen SUNY campuses at the SUNY Research Expo in Albany, the school announced. The event was held at the Legislative Office Building here in the state capital, and featured a range of research that has the potential “to save lives and strengthen the economy,” according to the announcement. In conversations with state officials, Jingyung Wang, PhD, and Arathy Kartha, PhD, MPhil Optometry, highlighted their work in myopia management, pediatric optometry, and low vision during the showcase.
