The Glaucoma Foundation Celebrates 42nd Anniversary at Awards Gala, Honoree Pledges $5 Million for Glaucoma Research

NEW YORK—Philanthropy, advocacy and artistry were honored at The Glaucoma Foundation’s (TGF) annual gala on April 16 as more than 300 supporters helped mark the foundation’s 42nd anniversary. The gala raised $520,000 in support of cutting-edge research, an announcement from the foundation said. During the event, Daria Becker Barry, recipient of the Kitty Carlisle Hart Award of Merit for Lifetime Achievement, announced that the John and Daria Barry Foundation was pledging $5 million for glaucoma research.
