Menicon Marks 75th Anniversary, Looks to Future Initiatives

NAKA-KU, Japan—Menicon Co., Ltd, a global contact lens manufacturer, announced the celebration of its 75th anniversary in February 2026 and advised that it will implement various initiatives over the one-year period from February 8, 2026 to February 5, 2027. Menicon is currently celebrating its 75th anniversary, a milestone traced back to February 8, 1951, when founder Kyoichi Tanaka first commercialized a corneal contact lens, the company said. While Menicon noted that it has traditionally honored each 25-year milestone, it is now viewing this 75th year and the quarter-century ahead as a critical period of transformation.
