Inspecs Group and Qualcomm Technologies Form Collaboration to Develop Smart Eyewear

BATH, U.K.—Inspecs Group plc (LSE: SPEC), a global designer, manufacturer and distributor of eyewear that includes sunglasses, optical frames, lenses and low-vision products, has announced a new commercial strategic collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. focused on developing smart eyewear technology. As part of the collaboration, Inspecs has announced a subscription for 7,503,001 new ordinary shares of 1 pence each in the company by Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., at a price of £1 per ordinary share to raise gross proceeds of approximately £7.5 million or U.S. $10 million. The proceeds of the subscription will be used to support the growth of Inspecs and general working capital purposes, the announcement said.
