Maximilian Foerst Named as President and CEO of Carl Zeiss Meditec AG, to Succeed Dr. Markus Weber

JENA, Germany—Leading medical technology company Carl Zeiss Meditec AG has announced the appointment of Maximilian Foerst as the company’s new president and CEO, effective June 1, 2025. Foerst, who joined Zeiss Group in 1995 and has been head of Zeiss Greater China since 2009, will succeed Carl Zeiss Meditec AG’s current president and CEO Dr. Markus Weber, the company stated, who will be departing on May 31, 2025, after more than 22 years with Zeiss. Foerst will also succeed Weber in his role as a member of the executive board of Carl Zeiss AG responsible for the Medical Technology segment.
