EssilorLuxottica’s Excellence Laboratory in France Is Inaugurated by President Emmanuel Macron

PARIS—EssilorLuxottica’s Excellence Rx Laboratory, known as Labex, in Grand Paris, was inaugurated on May 12, 2025, by French President Emmanuel Macron. The state-of-the-art industrial facility aims to enhance the production of made-to-measure ophthalmic lenses in France, the company said, and combines advanced med-tech know-how with a commitment to sustainability. The company said this is “solidifying EssilorLuxottica’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of innovation in a sustainable way.” Francesco Milleri, chairman and CEO, and Paul du Saillant, deputy CEO of EssilorLuxottica said, “We are honored to have President Macron inaugurate EssilorLuxottica’s Excellence Laboratory and share in our pride as we open this new facility in a country where we have deep roots.
