John D. Marvin, CEO and President of TSO, Announces Resignation; Board Slated to Discuss Transition Plans This Week

HOUSTON—Texas State Optical, Inc. (TSO) has announced that John D. Marvin, the group’s long-standing president and chief executive officer, is resigning from his position, effective June 30, 2025. Concluding a 25-year tenure, Marvin has served as CEO since 2000 and was cited as being instrumental in transitioning the organization to optometrist ownership in 2001. Under his leadership, the announcement stated, TSO has expanded to more than 125 locations and achieved recognition as being among the largest optical retail chains in the U.S.
