NEW YORK—Tech giant Google announced a series of partnerships yesterday with three major eyewear companies, Warby Parker Inc. (NYSE: WRBY), Kering Eyewear, and Gentle Monster for the development of smart glasses that will be grounded in the company's Android XR platform. The announcements were made at Google I/O 2025, the company's annual developer conference being held through today both virtually and in person in Mountain View, Calif. Both Warby Parker, the direct-to-consumer lifestyle brand focused on vision for all, and Kering Eyewear, part of the global luxury group Kering that develops a series of renowned houses in fashion, leather goods, and jewelry, issued individual announcements yesterday regarding the partnerships. Gentle Monster, a global, South Korea-based luxury eyewear company, shared news of the partnership on X.
