
At Annual Conference, Google Announces Series of Optical Partnerships for Android-XR Based Smart Glasses

NEWARK, N.J.—Tech giant Google has announced a series of smart eyewear partnerships today at Google I/O 2025, its annual developer conference being held today and tomorrow both online and in Mountain View, Calif. Events kicked off at 10:00 a.m. PT/ 1:00 p.m. ET, the company advised, where speakers announced a series of partnerships, including with the direct-to-consumer lifestyle brand Warby Parker Inc. (NYSE: WRBY), the global luxury eyewear company Kering Eyewear, and Gentle Monster, a global, South Korea-based luxury eyewear company, to develop smart glasses on its Android XR platform, according to reliable news sources. Both Warby Parker and Kering Eyewear have issued individual announcements today regarding the partnerships.
