SUNY College of Optometry Celebrates 51st Commencement

NEW YORK—The State University of New York (SUNY) College of Optometry celebrated its 51st Commencement Ceremony on May 22, 2025, at Gotham Hall in Manhattan, the school announced, with 104 graduates earning Ph.D., OD and MS degrees. Assemblywoman Alicia Hyndman, who has represented Southeast Queens in the New York State Assembly since 2015 and currently serves as chair of the Standing Committee on Higher Education, gave the keynote address. David Troilo, Ph.D., also provided remarks, in what was the first commencement ceremony he presided over as president of SUNY College of Optometry.
