AALEN, Germany—Carl Zeiss Vision International GmbH has announced that it has entered a definitive agreement to acquire 100 percent of the shares in Taiwan-based Brighten Optix, (TPEX:6747) a leader in the field of orthokeratology and specialty contact lenses. The acquisition is expected to enhance Zeiss Vision Care’s portfolio of myopia management solutions, the company advised, and reinforce its global position in vision care with the integration of specialty contact lenses, while also playing a key role in its long-term strategy. Brighten Optix products are widely available and used by eye care professionals and eye clinics in Greater China and across Southeast Asia; brands include myOK lenses.
