NEW YORK—ESE International, a family-owned optical frame business, has announced the passing of Roger Shyer, retired president of the company, who died peacefully among his family on June 17, 2025. He was 84. In a statement, Shyer’s family said, “Roger’s warmth and love for his family was second to none. His spirit, wisdom and sense of humor only begin to tell the story of the kind of man he was and to the massive presence he was in our lives.”
