
AOA Innovation Hub Debuts at Optometry’s Meeting, Focusing on AI Tools and New Technologies to Enhance the Future of Eyecare

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.—Optometry’s Meeting | 5ᵗʰ World Congress of Optometry, hosted by the World Council of Optometry (WCO) in collaboration with the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the American Optometric Student Association (AOSA), kicked off its four-day joint meeting here yesterday at the Minneapolis Convention Center with its continuing education program for optometric professionals and the debut of its AOA Innovation Hub, which explored the future of eyecare and vision health in three separate panel discussions. Intended to align conversations and networking opportunities among the tech sector and optometric industry, the AOA Innovation Hub's three-part panel discussion assessed the future of eye health through the use of AI-enabled tools; addressed patient workflow challenges through AI; and examined enhanced treatments using new technologies.
