Silmo Names Finalists for Optical Design Contest 2025

PARIS—Show organizers for Silmo Paris have announced the finalists for its Optical Design Contest 2025. The winner will be announced on Friday, September 26, during Silmo. This contest offers design students from around the world the opportunity to push the boundaries of innovation and explore the possibilities of design in the optical world, show organizers said. This year, the contest challenges participants to create eyewear surrounding the theme “Superhero Glasses.” Designs must go beyond corrective function to become instruments of transformation, empowerment and reinvention of vision and the world, show organizers said. Designer and interior architect Michel Penneman serves as president of the jury, as reported by VMAIL.
