Ora Appoints Bill Sharbaugh as Chairman of Its Board of Directors

BOSTON—Ora, a global ophthalmic contract research organization (CRO), has announced the appointment of pharmaceutical industry veteran Bill Sharbaugh as chairman of its board of directors. The appointment represents a strategic addition to Ora’s leadership as the company scales its ophthalmic clinical research capabilities, the announcement said. Sharbaugh brings more than 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Most recently, he served as chief operating officer at Pharmaceutical Product Development (PPD), a global contract research organization which is now part of Thermo Fisher. Prior to joining PPD, he spent 17 years in the pharmaceutical industry at Merck and Bristol‐Myers Squibb.
