Josephine Ibironke, OD, Named Dean of Pennsylvania College of Optometry

ELKINS PARK, Penn.—Drexel University president and provost have announced Josephine Ibironke, OD, MPH, FAAO, has been named dean of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO), effective Sept. 15, 2025. This appointment comes following a national search, the University said. Dr. Ibironke, a founding member of the University of Pikeville’s Kentucky College of Optometry (KYCO), co-developed the college’s didactic and clinical pediatric optometry curriculum and created its Leadership in Healthcare course sequence, all while serving as an advisor to students, the announcement said.
