NEW YORK—Just shy of one month into her new role as the 105th president of the American Optometric Association (AOA), Jacqueline “Jacquie” M. Bowen, OD, has wasted little time in sharing essential messages about eye health and preventive care. Late last week, Dr. Bowen, who was inducted into office on June 28, took to the airwaves and digital platforms, embarking on a five-hour satellite media tour with more than 20 television, radio and online outlets around the country to stress the importance of back-to-school eye exams, the AOA announced.
