EyeSouth Partners Acquires Sunvera, Expanding Presence in Midwest

ATLANTA—EyeSouth Partners, an eyecare-focused management services organization (MSO), announced yesterday that it has completed the acquisition of Sunvera Group, an MSO in the Great Lakes region, representing its first expansion into the Michigan market. Founded in Birmingham, Mich., in 2018, Sunvera expanded its presence into Ohio in 2021, followed by Pennsylvania in 2022, and has built a regional platform of ophthalmic and optometric providers, including subspecialists in retina, glaucoma, oculoplastic and cornea fields. This partnership expands EyeSouth’s footprint in the region, the company advised, adding 15 practices and four ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) across Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, bringing the company’s total practice affiliations to 64 nationwide. Financial terms were not disclosed.
