AOA Celebrates September as Paraoptometric Appreciation Month

ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The American Optometric Association (AOA) has designated September as Paraoptometric Appreciation Month, the organization announced, marking a formal observance dedicated to recognizing optometric practice staff. In making the announcement, the AOA encouraged its members and the industry at large to join in a celebration dedicated to the practice staff who “critically support the delivery of optometric patient care,” the group said. Participants are invited to recognize staff contributions and share appreciation on social media using the hashtag #AOAParaMonth2025.
