Luminous Optical Co. Makes Its Debut, Acquires TOMS Eyewear License

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.—Luminous Optical Co., a newly launched, independent portfolio of purpose-driven eyewear brands, today announced its official debut to the optical industry. Luminous, founded by Ben and Laura Harrison who are also the founders of Jonas Paul Eyewear, will focus on combining innovation, design and a mission to create positive global change through vision, the company said. Luminous Optical Co. is now the parent company of Jonas Paul Eyewear, a children’s eyewear brand inspired by the Harrisons’ son Jonas, who was born blind, according to the announcement. In addition, the company has expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of the TOMS Eyewear license.
