
Bill Scott, Jobson Optical Group President, Announces Retirement; Tom Lamond Named as Successor

NEWARK, N.J.—After a 30-year tenure in the optical industry, Bill Scott, president and long-standing leader within Jobson Optical Group, has announced his retirement, effective January 1, 2026. Scott, while stepping away from day-to-day work, has advised that he will stay connected to the team in a part-time advisory position through 2026. Tom Lamond, president of Jobson’s Frames Data division, has been appointed to succeed Scott on January 1, and will continue to lead Frames Data as he assumes responsibility for the broader Jobson Optical portfolio. Lamond and Scott have indicated that they will be working together closely over the next few months to ensure a smooth transition of the overall management of the business.
