Cirrus Therapeutics Raises $11 Million in Seed Financing to Reverse Underlying Cause of Dry AMD

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—Cirrus Therapeutics, an ocular immunology-focused biotech company, announced it has raised $11 million in seed financing to advance its pipeline of gene and cell therapies aimed at extending the ocular health span of patients with chronic blinding diseases such as dry age-related macular degeneration (dry AMD), the leading cause of vision loss for people age 50 years and older. The round was led by ClavystBio, with participation from Polaris Partners and SEEDS, the company advised.
