American Academy of Optometry Welcomes 2025 New Fellows and Diplomates

WINTER PARK, Fla.—During its recent Academy 2025 annual meeting in Boston, Mass. earlier this month, the American Academy of Optometry announced that it has welcomed a record-breaking 329 new Fellows. Additionally, 11 existing Fellows were recognized with the esteemed title of Diplomate, the announcement noted. Fellows of the American Academy of Optometry must complete a candidacy process that includes submitting written works for peer review that demonstrate their skills as an optometrist or vision scientist. Fellows must also sit for an oral exam at the annual meeting.
