Kathryn Colby, MD, Ph.D., NYU Langone Health Chair of Ophthalmology, Is Honored With Castroviejo Medal at AAO 2025

ORLANDO, Fla.—NYU Langone Health has announced Kathryn A. Colby, MD, Ph.D., the Elisabeth J. Cohen, MD, professor and chair of the department of ophthalmology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, was awarded the prestigious Castroviejo Medal from the Cornea Society while at the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s (AAO) annual meeting held here last week. The organization said this honor recognizes Dr. Colby's groundbreaking contributions to the field of ophthalmology, particularly in the promotion, research, and understanding of the cornea.
