EssilorLuxottica Invests CA$1.5 Million in Canadian Optometry Schools

MONTREAL—EssilorLuxottica, has announced a multi-year pledge of more than CA$1.5 million to The Université de Montréal – École d’Optométrie and the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science. In making the announcement, the company noted that the pledge aims to support both schools with enhanced research capacity, modernized clinical infrastructure, and stronger industry–academic collaboration, providing the opportunity for students, faculty, and patients to benefit from next-generation technologies and discoveries while underscoring the company’s “commitment to advancing vision science research, clinical innovation and the education of future optometry leaders in Canada.”
