Prevent Blindness Names Matt MacDonald as Chair of Board of Directors and Adds Three New Board Members

CHICAGO—Prevent Blindness, has announced that Matt MacDonald, president and global head of managed care, EyeMed Vision Care, was appointed chair of its board of directors on November 14, at the 2025 Prevent Blindness annual board meeting here. MacDonald succeeds Jim McGrann, CEO of Advancing Eyecare, who was named an emeritus member of the board. At the same meeting, the organization added three new board members including Lori A. Archer, former CEO of UnitedHealthcare Vision; Paul Delatore, global head of market access at Alcon; and Cadmus Rich, MD, MBA, principal consultant, ClearSight LLC, and chief medical officer of Visara, Inc. Dr. Rich will serve as board treasurer, and Jacqueline Herd, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, FACHE, was re-elected board secretary.
