FULLERTON, Calif.—Marshall B. Ketchum University (MBKU) has announced that for the sixth year, clinicians, opticians and student volunteers from the university will spend Thanksgiving Day providing comprehensive eyecare, including prescription glasses, to unhoused people in Orange County at Blessfest, an outreach event that provides social services and a gospel message to the homeless community. On-site, the team will perform full eye examinations using auto-refraction, check intraocular pressure and conduct visual eye-health evaluations, the school said. The school said it partners with EssilorLuxottica, which donates frames and lenses, so the volunteers can fit guests for eyeglasses, helping restore both vision and confidence.
