ATHERTON, Calif.—TearOptix, Inc., a contact lens company developing a proprietary multifocal lens technology for presbyopia, has announced the completion of a strategic corporate round of financing led by investors with deep expertise in ophthalmology. The company also unveiled its scientific advisory board, which it noted is composed of recognized leaders in vision science, clinical ophthalmology and optical engineering. “The capital infusion enables us to advance our clinical development and validates our proprietary multifocal lens technology,” said Vartan Ghazarossian, Ph.D., co-founder and CEO of TearOptix.
