LOUIS—The Global Myopia Awareness Coalition (GMAC), a group of leading ophthalmic companies and eye health associations, has announced that the New Zealand Association of Optometrists (NZAO) has become the newest professional association member of its growing organization. In making the announcement, GMAC said this partnership reflects the group’s global ongoing efforts to unite global stakeholders in raising public awareness about childhood myopia and the importance of early intervention. “We are proud to welcome the NZAO into the GMAC community,” said Olga Prenat, chair of GMAC.
