Opus Genetics Announces Financial Results for First Quarter 2025 and Provides Corporate Update

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C.—Opus Genetics, Inc. (Nasdaq: IRD), a clinical-stage ophthalmic biopharmaceutical company developing new therapies for the treatment of inherited retinal diseases (IRDs) and other ophthalmic disorders, has announced financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2025, and provided a corporate update. License and collaborations revenue was $4.4 million for the first quarter of 2025, compared with $1.7 million during the same period in 2024. Revenue during both quarterly periods was derived from the company’s license and collaboration agreement with Viatris, Inc. largely from the reimbursement of research and development services, the company reported.
