SUNY College of Optometry Appoints Dr. Melissa Trego as Vice President and Dean for Academic Affairs

NEW YORK—SUNY College of Optometry has announced the appointment of Melissa E. Trego, OD, Ph.D., as vice president and dean for academic affairs, effective this June. A seasoned educator, clinician, and a national leader in optometric education, Dr. Trego will oversee all optometric academic programming at the college including curriculum development, residency programs, accreditation, faculty development and strategic planning, the announcement noted. Dr. Trego replaces David Troilo, who moved into the president’s role at the college last fall.
