Southern College of Optometry Honors Three Alumni With Awards

MEMPHIS, Tenn.—Southern College of Optometry (SCO) announced late last week that it presented three alumni with awards during its 2025 Fall Homecoming and Continuing Education Weekend held in September. In recognition of their professional achievements, Mark Lynn, OD, was awarded with SCO’s Lifetime Achievement Award, and Amy Puerto, OD, and Brittany Wright, OD, MS, FAAO, both received Young Alumni Awards. “Southern College of Optometry takes pride in the accomplishments of our graduates,” Lewis Reich, OD, Ph.D., SCO president told VMAIL. “We encourage our students to become involved in their profession, so this year’s award recipients are amazing role models for the next generation of ODs to follow.”
